Chris Zonca, CCPS
Financial Planner
Starting my career with Lincoln Financial Advisors in 1999, I moved to California in 2000 to kickstart my financial planning practice with a group of dynamic and experienced planners. One of the biggest reasons I joined this group was that I would have the opportunity to help a large group of people through our existing client relationships. I would be able to help them reach their financial goals, provide insight and education and implement strategies that would allow them to feel more confident in their financial future.
Since then I’ve been fortunate to work with successful professionals in the healthcare industry and public sector, executives, younger professionals and retirees alike. It is the diversity of our clients that is exciting and allows a fresh approach to traditional planning strategies.
While the implementation of financial planning centers on numbers and strategies – the X’s and O’s of our industry – in the end our clients choose Modern Wealth Partners because of our personal relationship and service model. When I take on a new client, I am committing to years of service and advice built through trust, empathy and sincerity. The only product I am selling is me and I take great pride in helping my clients grow financially. It is a privilege I do not take lightly.
I also want to highlight that when clients choose me they get more than an advisor. They will inherit my dedicated support team that will always strive to provide a Five Star level of service. We aim to be responsive, attentive and caring.
I am a native of Pennsylvania and graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Marketing from West Chester University (PA). I married my wife, Joyce, in 2009 and am grateful to have her part of our planning team and joining the family business. We had our daughter, Catie, in 2010. With the arrival of a baby girl I was inspired to continue my professional education by achieving the designation of Certified College Planning Specialist (CCPS).
Before I was a financial planner, I came from a sports background. I was blessed with the opportunity to play two years of professional baseball in the Philadelphia Phillies minor league farm system. After my playing career was finished, I worked in the front office for the Phillies in marketing, sales and baseball operations and worked at the University of Pennsylvania’s Athletic Department.
I continue my passion of sports today through golf, basketball and skiing. I am also passionate about coaching my daughter’s softball and basketball teams. In my spare time you will most likely catch me taking in live music throughout the Bay Area.
